Half-Kneeling Ankle Mobility Test (Left Side)

Mobility, Its great if this isn't true

The Half-Kneeling Ankle Mobility Test measures the ability of the neuromuscular system to control the range of motion at the ankle.

Equipment Required: Wall, tape measure

Procedure:

  1. Participant kneels on their right knee and faces the wall.
  2. Participant measures a distance of 5 inches from the wall using the tape measure and places the left foot here.
  3. Participant pushes their left knee forward, keeping their heel on the ground.
  4. Participant passes the test if they can touch their left knee to the wall. Participant fails if they cannot touch the left knee to the wall, or they can touch the wall but not without the left heel elevating or the foot arch collapsing.
  5. Participant inputs whether they passed or failed the test for the left side into SharedGoals by clicking on the green “Add score” button.
